Mares booked in 2003 for 2004 foals

Barron
Barrons Girl

by Track Barron out of Delta Kisses
Breeder/owner: Cindy Latham, AL

"I haven't owned her for long, just a few months. I found her by accident and couldn't pass her up. She was lightly raced and has been ridden as a trail horse but mostly used as a broodmare. When I first saw her she had her very nice 3 month old TB filly by her side. She is now in foal to a TB stallion, due to foal in May. My plan is to breed her to LAB Sundance in June. She is a very sweet and good natured mare.
Also, I don't think I've told you that we have a 4 year old gelding out of LAB Inspiration, his name is Baltic Jubilation. He is quite a nice horse, he belongs to my daughter. He is out of a Swedish mare I was leasing as a broodmare. So Barron's and Sundance's foal will have a cousin at home!"

Get Tender
Get Tender

by Tender Teddy (Qh) out of Get and Go Spook
Breeder: Laurie Platt, VA.

Laurie will be breeding Solar's dam, Get Tender back to Sundance this spring for a 2004 foal. Solar Flare has been started undersaddle. Laurie is thrilled with his temperament, talent and trainability. If you woud like to no more about Solar Flare contact Laurie. I am sure she would enjoy bragging on him. 5/7/03 "Solar Flare is so wonderful. We went on a trail ride this weekend and Flare just marched along. Tried leg yield at walk and he just moved from one
side to the other, back and forth like he was dancing. Last weekend we went through water about 20 inches deep and 30 feet wide. Didn't phase him. I just love my bady boy. Looking forward to another Sundance bady." - Laurie

Lynda R Mare

Maggie Zans
by Tyrees Dusty Watch out of Fancy Lady Cherokee

Breeder/owner: Lynda Richart, WA

"Maggie is a maiden mare. She is a sweet heart of a mare an has a nice uphill, floaty trot. Maggie's unique coloring is Cremello. Her baby by Sundance should be Palomino or Buckskin due to her double-dilute genes."

Breeder/owner: Akbar Ettefagh, NC

Sandi
Lusty Gambler
(Sandi)
by Goldlust xx out of Timeless Dancer xx
Owner/breeder: Heather Thomas
New Britain, Ct.

Heather's email "I'm very excited about breeding Sandi (it will be both her and my first time) as it's something I've always wanted to do...breed, train, then sell. Sandi will make an incredible mother with her personality. I'm very excited to see the foal that she and Sundance produce as I'm sure it will be highly intelligent, athletic, and have a bit of spunk. That is perhaps the best story I have regarding her. She loves any attention she can get especially being groomed as she always falls fast asleep when brushed. She is one of the favorite horses in the barn because she is so kind and loving. Mary Darley, the owner of the barn she is at, absolutely adores her and is also very excited about my decision to breed. She is already prepared to take monthly pictures to send me so I can see her belly as it gets bigger. I haven't shown Sandi at all publicly to this date, but she has basic training in dressage and I hope to develop her natural jumping ability once I have finished my education."

Julie Mock
Major

by Wolly Bear xx out of Silent Mickey xx

Julie Mock of Nebraska - Major:'s Story
'Her racing bloodlines (to mention a few) are from "T.V. Lark" and "Bold Ruler", and go way back to "Nasrullah". Major is a really nice mare that is well put together. I am glad I found her 2 years ago after not having a horse since my childhood. She was a little rough around the edges and needed some conditioning and to be put on some better feed. I saw potential in her and I wanted to do dressage with her so bad. In no time, this mare came back looking like a champion, not to mention her attitude was much better after all the love and care I gave her. We did some schooling shows. At one show she received a 63% after just 2 months of schooling. In march of 2002, she had a back injury. She is healing well now, but I am sad to say that I am not going to be able to use her for dressage anymore. I believe that she will throw nice foals. I hope to get the warmblood horse of my dreams from breeding her to LAB Sundance. I have always dreamed of breeding my own warmblood, and now this is my chance!  I am so excited!"

Becky
Love Roberta xx
by Chief Honcho out of Cirque Du Soleil
Owner/breeder: Bobbie & Aimee Welsh
Louisville, Ky

Bobbie writes; "The mare that we are planning to breed to Sundance is a Thoroughbred mare named Love Roberta (Becky). She has a sweet temperament coupled with lovely gaits, natural athleticism and was very competitive on the track, winning from mile and 1/8 to a mile and 1/4. Our goal is to find the best mares and breed them to the best stallions. Hopefully, someday, we will be able to produce that world class jumper!"
